Four county schools — Marion, Hillsboro, Centre, and Peabody-Burns —will join together for a cooperative swimming team this spring.
Swimming coach MacKenzie Magee is making her debut but was a college swimmer herself and grew up with coaching parents.
One veteran returning to the team is Olivia Carlson from Centre, who was a state qualifier last year in diving.
Returning letter winners this year are Caitlin Thornhill and Alexis Hostetler from Marion, Leah Brunner from Centre, and Ainsley Duell, Violet Klein, Tanner Plett, Katie Rempel, and Gabi Sibayan from Hillsboro.
“The team has set goals for themselves individually and as a group, which will provide our definition of success for the season,” Magee said. “I feel like if we work hard and come together as a team, we will improve and enjoy the season which always makes for a successful year.”
