Swimmers find room for improvement

Marion swimmers competing in their first event of the season Thursday in Newton and found they have much room for improvement.
“I am very happy with the progress the boys have made since the start of the season and excited to see where they can go,” coach MacKenzie Magee said.
Zach Schlesener placed 21st in the boys 50- and 100-yard freestyles.
“Overall, they are a young team so there is a ton of room for improvements and just an increased understanding of how a high school season works.”
Marion’s next meet will be Tuesday at Hutchinson.
