A Lincolnville man who allegedly stole a car from Chanute was released from jail last week after being found Feb. 3 inside a rural Lincolnville home.

Kordell L. Harding, 28, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a 1992 Mustang stolen from Chanute, and two counts of violating probation in Neosho County. He was released last week on $2,500 bond.

Marion County undersheriff Larry Starkey said deputies were summoned by a neighbor who noticed activity Feb. 2 at a home near Alfalfa and 300th Rds.

A man climbed out a window of the house and ran to a tree row to hide.

Starkey said there had been a relationship between Harding and Deanna Ingalsbe, who resided at the home. She was not there when Harding arrived.

Despite trying to hide, Harding, who has a long criminal record. did not resist arrest, Starkey said.

In 2012, Harding entered plea agreement on a Marion County charge of driving under the influence.

In 2013, he was convicted in Morris County of battery. After being put on probation, his probation was terminated in 2015 for a probation violation.

In 2017, he was convicted in Geary County of possession of drug paraphernalia. In return for a plea of no contest, a charge of possession of opiates was dismissed. His probation was revoked in 2018.

In 2018, he was convicted of speeding in Dickinson County and failed to appear in court.

He was charged with burglary and theft in Neosho County in 2018. Those charges later were dismissed.

He pleaded guilty in 2019 in Neosho County to a different count of burglary and interference with law enforcement. A warrant was issued Aug. 9 for probation violation.

In 2021, he pleaded guilty in Greenwood County to possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while his license was suspended. A charge of possession of opiates was dismissed. A motion to revoke his probation on that conviction was filed Feb. 8.

He was charged May 18, 2021, in Dickinson County with interference with law enforcement, driving while his license was revoked, having improper vehicle registration, and driving with no proof of insurance. That case remains pending.
