More than 160 children from Peabody-Burns Elementary School participated Nov. 6 in Body Venture.
The traveling exhibit was at PBES. It was developed by Kansas Department of Education Child Nutrition and Wellness. It featured an 11-stop tour of the body from the brain to the mouth, stomach, small intestine, small intestine, heart, lungs, bones, muscles, and skin.
“Body venture is a wonderful way for students to have fun learning about health, nutrition, and physical activity,” PBES Principal Ken Parry said. “What’s great is the kids are actively involved in learning about good nutrition and making healthful lifestyle choices.
“We appreciate the support of our PTO as well as the high school students who assisted with the exhibit and made Body Venture possible.”
