Students compete in music festival

Peabody-Burns High School vocalists and musicians competed Saturday in the regional solo and small ensemble festival at Tabor College, Hillsboro.

Receiving I ratings were Taylor Ensminger, French horn solo; McKenzie Ensminger, alto saxophone solo; Jenipher Huls, flute solo; Bethanny Loucks, flute solo; and Seth Topham, baritone saxophone solo. The musicians qualified for the state solo festival at the end of April.

Those receiving II ratings were Brandee Burnett, clarinet solo; Nick Morgan, snare drum solo; and Amy Wedel, flute solo.
