String of dropped charges ends in prison

A Peabody woman’s probation in four cases against her was revoked Friday, and she was taken to jail to await being taken to prison.

April N. Fore, 36, Peabody, repeatedly has been sentenced to probation in plea agreements in numerous cases filed since 2020. Other cases and charges within cases were dismissed as a result of those plea agreements.

Six cases were reinstated last week after alleged probation violations. When Fore appeared in court, she pleaded no contest in two renewed cases and was sentenced to prison. The balance of charges were dismissed.

A June 21, 2022 charge of battery was dismissed March 27.

May 13, 2022 charges of residential burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal damage to property resulted in her being sentenced July 24 to 35 days in jail followed by a year’s community corrections.

A charge of driving while her license was suspended, filed April 22, 2022, was dismissed March 27, 2023. The charge was reinstated March 27, and dismissed March 28 as part of a plea agreement in four cases. On March 29, the dismissal was withdrawn, and a motion to revoke her probation was filed.

She was charged June 2, 2021 with interference with law enforcement and battery of an officer. She pleaded no contest July 26, 2022, and was sentenced to a year’s community corrections. The charge was reinstated March 27 and dismissed March 28 as part of a plea agreement in four cases. On March 29 the dismissal was withdrawn, and a motion to revoke her probation was filed.

She was charged July 6, 2020, with domestic battery. The case was dismissed July 26, 2021.

She was charged July 6, 2020, with fleeing law enforcement, driving while her license was suspended, and operating a vehicle without registration. She pleaded no contest July 26, 2021, to interference with law enforcement, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer filed in a separate case. In exchange, two other cases filed against her were dismissed. She was sentenced to a year’s probation.

Seven prior criminal cases, all misdemeanors, have been filed in Marion County District Court.
