Stocking stuffers for Fido

Peabody City Clerk Stephanie Ax has announced that 2015 pet tags will be available Dec. 15 at the city office.

“Just in time for Christmas — proof that you love your pet,” she said.

“The tags will again be $5 for each spayed or neutered pet and $10 for each pet that is not spayed or neutered,” Ax said. “Also proof of a current rabies vaccine is a must.”

The deadline for purchasing tags is Jan. 31, 2015.

After that date, the owner of any untagged cat or dog will be subject to being ticketed and fined by Peabody Animal Control officer Duane Davis for being in violation of the city’s pet tag ordinance.

For more information, contact Ax at 983-2174.
