Steven C. Eskeldson, 83, of Ramona died Saturday at the Medicalodges of Herington. He was born May 4, 1929, at Ramona to Stephen C. and Elizabeth (McRae) Eskeldson. He graduated from Ramona High School in 1947 and was a farmer and stockman.

He married Myrna R. Brockmeier on March 27, 1960, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lyons Creek.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, John of Herington and Bart of Topeka; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James; and five sisters, Isabell Hale, Katrina Eskeldson, Grace Schubert, Marian Kroening, and Virginia Anderson.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona, with the Rev. John Riebhoff officiating. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery, Ramona. Visitation was to be 2 to 7 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
