Stay-at-home mom is collecting coats

Staff writer

Christina Fistler of Peabody is spearheading a coat drive for children and adults. She has collected seven coats so far. Her goal is 45.

“I know about the poverty situation in our community,” she explained. “We’re small, and I saw that some children were in need of coats.”

Donations of hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and jackets, as well as the coats, can be dropped off at First Baptist Church on Vine Street.

Fistler is a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Kurt, have been members of Circles for more than three years.

In Circles, the couple learned how to live on one paycheck using the envelope system to budget their money and pay bills.

Fistler is a Circles leader and desires to give back to her community.

She can be contacted at (316) 217-3057 for more information.
