Members of Sorosis Beta took a road trip for an Oct. 10 meeting. They gathered at Peabody Township Library and traveled to Newton. They went shopping, ate lunch, went to a movie.

During lunch, president Carolyn Rowland welcomed members and Marquetta Eilerts offered devotions, reading a passage from “Hugs from Friends.” Minutes were read and approved. Eilerts presented the treasurer’s report. There was no old or new business presented.

Members were reminded that the Nov. 19 meeting will be at the home of Diane Glaser. Everyone was reminded to bring her talent and her “shoes” in a brown bag.

After lunch and the brief meeting, Rowland asked the members to recite the club pledge. Each member picked up her “hat” in a brown bag and went back to shopping or went to see a movie.
