Sorosis Beta begins club year with a picnic

On Sept. 19, members of the Sorosis Beta club of Peabody and their husbands met at the United Methodist Church for an indoor picnic of fried chicken and side dishes.

President Marilyn Cox presided over a short business meeting while the men visited.

Names of prospective members were discussed. LouAnn Gray reviewed the club books for the upcoming year.

Members shared their summer experiences. Sonja Koslowsky won the door prize.

The meeting ended with the recitation of the club pledge.

The October meeting will be held at the home of Sonja Koslowsky.
