Solomon girls pull away from Lady Warriors in 2nd half

The Lady Warriors performed well in the first half against Solomon but were defeated 39-26 in the Friday homecoming contest. Up next this week is a makeup game against Elyria Christian and road games at Remington and Goessel.

Brianna Larsen led the first quarter scoring with a trey and a 2-point basket. Katy Benson had a 2. Solomon scored 8 and led by 1 at the end of the first, 8-7.

Solomon scored 12 from the field. Rylie McDowell had 4 in the second for PBHS. Jordan Gibson and Benson each added 2. Larsen tacked on one from the line. The Lady Warriors trailed by 4 at the half.

PBHS offense slowed in the third with a trey from McDowell and a 2-point bucket from Benson. Solomon boosted their total by 12. The Lady Warriors were down 32-21 at the end of the period.

Larsen and Gibson had 2 each in the final quarter. Christa Elliott got one from the line. Solomon had 7, including 5 free throws. PBHS lost 39-26.

Larsen, 8; McDowell, 7; Benson, 6; Gibson, 4; and Elliott, 1.
