Skinner family gathers for reunion

The 72nd Skinner reunion was Aug. 5 at Peabody’s senior center.

In 1896, brothers William and James Skinner migrated from Iowa, William to Peabody and James to La Harpe.

The reunion celebrates descendants of William and Margaret, and James and Amanda.

In attendance from Kansas were Pauline Skinner, Wichita; Cathy Parker, Mulvane; Virginia Bigbee and Judy and Jim Ahrens, Madison Hannett and Derek Haug, Manhattan; Craig and Kara Nelson and children Lanie, Adria, and Tate, Garden Plain; Don Skinner and Connie Strand, and Janet Briethaupt, Overland Park; Virginia Skinner and Chris and Jennifer Young, children Bryant, Philip, and Alex, Peabody; Donna Nelson, Lindsborg; Lori and Cleigh Robbins, and children Kaylee, Courtney, Kimber, and Dalton, Derby; and Joy Carlson, Shawnee.

Out-of-state guests included Craig and Tammy Skinner, Denver; Darren Nelson, Dallas; and Doris Herbert, Gainesville, Texas.
