PBHS cross-country traveled to the Marion Invitational at Marion Country Club on Thursday. Up next they will compete at Halstead.
Sheldon Wiebe posted the highest finish for the PBHS boys squad with a second-place medal run. He ran the 5-kilometer race in 18 minutes, 24.06 seconds. Matt Hiebert finished 23rd in the same division with a time of 20:13.58.
Zach Preheim and Seth Topham competed in the junior varsity division. Preheim finished ninth with a time of 22:10.04 and Topham placed 10th with a time of 22:13.15.
Three PBHS girls ran the 4K course. Lauren Pickens competed in the varsity division and finished seventh with a time of 17:10.03. Amanda Pickens was third in the junior varsity division with a time of 23:09.16. Heather Brooks was fourth behind Pickens in the junior varsity division with a time of 24:33.77.
Three seventh-grade runners competed in the mixed 1600 event at the meet. Carlee Wentworth came in fifth in the girl’s division with a time of 16:28.89. Emma Charles was sixth with a time of 18:57.40. Ryan Bayes finished 12th in the boys division with a time of 11:24.46.
