Rolland Peterson

Rolland O. Peterson, 83, Burdick, died May 16 at Herington Municipal Hospital.

A funeral service was Monday at Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick, with military committal following at the church cemetery.

He was born Dec. 11, 1932, to Iver L. and Stella H. (Hanson) Peterson at the family farm near Burdick.

He graduated from Diamond Valley High School, Burdick, in 1950. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a farmer stockman, and also drove a milk truck for dairies for over 25 years.

He was a lifelong member of Hebron Lutheran Church and served on the church board for many years. He was a member of the Burdick American Legion, and served as treasurer.

He is survived by a brother, Roger Peterson of Burdick; and sister, Marie Thornton of Abilene.

He was preceded in death by brothers Earl, Wendall, and Marvin.

Memorials may be made to Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick.
