Molly Ann Rhodes and Tyler James Smith, both of Marion, were married at 5 p.m. Dec. 20, 2008, at Eastmoor United Methodist Church of Marion with Pastor Michael W. Eurit officiating.
The church was decorated with red and white poinsettias, greenery, and candlelight.
Parents of the bride are Bruce and Brenda Rhodes of Marion. Grandparents are Harold and Sally Bauer of Hudson and the late Bill and Elsie Rhodes.
The groom’s parents are Steven Smith and Greta Smith, both of Marion. Grandparents are Juanita Helmer of Florence and the late Wil Helmer, and Mona Smith of Marion and the late Winton Smith.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white beaded lace dress with a trumpet skirt, v-neck halter, and chapel train. She carried a bouquet of red roses and evergreen.
Maid of honor was Amber Richmond, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amanda Muller, friend of the bride, and Jessica Bauer, cousin of the bride.
Trevor Smith served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Mike Kline, friend of the groom, and Matt Rhodes, brother of the bride.
Flower girl was Elizabeth Smith, friend of the couple. Noah Rhodes, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner, and dance were held at Pilsen Community Center.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Marion High School and graduated in 2008 from Wichita State University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as an emergency room registered nurse at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
Her husband is a 2004 graduate of Marion High School and attended Butler Community College. He is a machinist.
Following a honeymoon in Kansas City, the couple lives in Marion.
