Rex Waggy
Graveside services for Rex Lee Waggy, 72, Toronto, Kansas, who passed away early Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, at his home, will be in April. Cremation is planned.
He was born Dec. 15, 1951, at Wichita to Charles Sherwood and Fern Marjorie (McIntosh) Waggy. He grew up in Burns and attended grade school there before graduating from high school at Peabody.
On Sept. 11, 1971, he and Vicki Lynn Unruh were married at Hillsboro.
Rex farmed and ranched during his younger years before working several years in the feed mill industry.
He held several other jobs before being employed by Norcraft Cabinetry in Newton, where he worked as a parts manager until his retirement.
Rex and Vicki enjoyed numerous fishing trips to Minnesota, which they greatly enjoyed.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves Vicki, his wife of more than 53 years; his brother, Ron Waggy (and wife Carol) of Cheney; nephews John Waggy of Wichita and Jeff Waggy (and wife Kim) of Cheney; several great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
