A three-day revival is planned Oct. 3 through 5 at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 Sycamore St., Peabody.
A worship service will be at 7 p.m. with Aulne United Methodist Church providing a praise band and other special music including a performance by Rick Just.
Just was born and raised near Marion, and graduated in 1976 from Marion High School. He was called to ministry in 1988, when he moved to Chicago to pursue his education. He graduated with a master’s of divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Currently he is pastor of Mulvane United Methodist Church.
A prayer vigil will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily Monday through Oct. 5.
During the three-day revival, activities are planned including a room being available for prayer at 6 p.m. at the Peabody church followed by the worship service and music at 7 p.m. each night.
On Oct. 3, pizza will be served at 6 p.m. for the youth group and Just will attend.
Peabody Methodist women will host a salad luncheon with Just at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 4. Women from Aulne, Florence, Summit, and Walton are welcome to attend. At 6 p.m., Aulne church members will provide a light meal.
Refreshments will be served at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 5, following the last service.
