REUNIONS: Skinner

The 62nd annual Skinner reunion was Aug. 3 at the Peabody Senior Center. Thirty-seven people were in attendance. Most were descendants of William and Margaret Skinner who moved to Peabody in 1896 from Iowa, and James and Amanda Skinner, who moved from Iowa to LaHarpe the same year.

Those attending were Virginia Skinner and Chris, Jennifer, Mackenzie, Bryant, Philip, and Alex Young, all of Peabody; Donna Nelson, Lindsborg; Scott, Carrie, Sophie, and Drew Nelson, Salina; Craig, Kara, Lanie, and Tate Nelson, Garden Plain; Virginia Bigbee, Jean Bigbee Hill, and Jim and Judy Ahrens, Manhattan; Don Skinner, Leawood; Ilene Chisholm, Wray and Pauline Skinner, and Norma Cain, Wichita; Joy and Joel Carlson, Shawnee; Greg and Cathy Parker, Andover; Lori, Cleigh, and Kaylee Robbins, Mulvane.

Out-of-state attendees included Becky Weber and Reburta Wenzl, Grand Island, Neb.; Kathy Wortman, Westminster, Colo.; Doris Herbert, Watauga, Texas; and Sherry Johnson, North Platte, Neb.

Cards were signed for Gordon Muchmore of Raytown, Mo., and Helen Hamilton of Oakton, Iowa. A moment of remembrance was observed for Harriet Schroder and Naomi Haas, both of whom died in the past year.
