Joyce Kyle accompanied Tom and Nedy Grimwood and Christopher on March 15 to Manhattan for the open house for Edla Freeland’s 90th birthday. Later they were guests at a special supper for Edla, whose family members were all present.
Martin and Peg Van der Weg and Jen Stucky assisted Marie Clark with spring cleanup jobs on March 15.
Hadlye Clark spent part of her spring break with her grandmother, Marie Clark.
Brooke Lenhardt of Marion visited Marie Clark March 13 and on March 14, Wayne and Gloria Handle of Baxter Springs had lunch with Marie.
On March 13, Marvin and Sherol Nightengale, Norma Riggs, and Cathy Foote traveled together to Perry for the funeral of Jim Abel.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Dusty Gaines, Ty and Kim Gaines and Brooke also attended Jim Abel’s funeral. Brooke was on spring break and came home with Ronnie and Patti.
Willie and Kathy Bender and Weldon of Mifflinburg, Penn., and David Bruann arrived at the home of Vernon and Judy Koehn on March 15. The next day Renferd, Wanda, Lonnie, and Carolee Koehn and Dalen, Beth, and Cody Koehn all joined them for dinner. On March 17, Judy, Wanda, and Kathy went shopping. They gathered at Vernon and Judy’s for supper March 17 and 18 and at Renferd and Wanda’s for lunch March 18. The Benders and David Braunn left for home on March 19.
Burns Countryside Church Friends and Fellowship group met in the evening March 18 at the home of Mary Langenegger. Attending were Mary and Gary Langenegger, Pastor Arlen and Mary Busenitz, Emily and Carson, Mike and Larry Spachek, Mike Hamman, Doni Rogers, and Joyce Kyle.
Bob, Braxton, and Brody Kyle and Marie Clark called on Joyce Kyle during the past week.
