Red Cross offers rewards during National Volunteer Month

American Red Cross and HBO are offering a reward to encourage eligible donors to give blood during National Volunteer Month this month.

Game of Thrones fans are encouraged to “Bleed for the throne” and be entered for a chance to win a full-size Iron Throne.

The reward commemorates the the final season of “Game of Thrones.”

Anyone who donates during April will be automatically entered. Additionally, all donors who give between April 11 and April 30 will get a commemorative “Bleed For The Throne” poster as long as supplies last.

April blood drive opportunities in Marion County include:

Goessel — 1 to 6 p.m. April 30, Mennonite Church, 109 S. Church.

Hillsboro — 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 15 at Wohlgemuth Building, 400 S. Jefferson.

1 to 6 p.m. April 18 at Trinity Mennonite Church, 211 S. Elm.

Lost Springs — 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 17 at Centre High School, 2374 310th St.
