Record check requests occupy local police

Peabody police performed two U.S. record checks this past week.

“This is a check we run on individuals who are seeking employment with the federal government,” said Peabody Police Chief Bruce Burke. The department recently had conducted quite a few similar record checks for the military.

Local law enforcement looked into a possible violation of a protection from abuse order Nov. 24.

A complaint Nov. 25 was filed with police in regard to stalking. The case is under investigation.

On Nov. 26, an arrest was made for domestic battery.

A subject was arrested Nov. 28 for driving on a suspended license.
