The Dickinson County Historical Society invites the public to attend a special program honoring cooks featured in a recently published booklet, at 4 p.m. on Dec. 4, at the Heritage Center in Abilene.

Twelve cooks shared their own personal stories and memories built around the family dinner table in the tenth edition of “Home-Cooking—Dickinson County Style, Capturing the Present and Remembering the Past.” The booklet, written and compiled by Meta Newell West, will be for sale at the program.
