Preschool moves to elementary
After 20 years preparing Peabody youngsters for kindergarten, Sunshine Preschool has seen its final graduating class of four-year-olds.
Donna Glover, Sunshine Preschool board member, issued a statement recently expressing the board’s appreciation for long-time preschool instructor Peggy Phillips and the support of the Peabody community.
“Sunshine Preschool provided valuable training to children entering elementary school,” said Glover. “Peggy Phillips served for 15 years as the teacher.”
USD 398 will host the preschool program when school starts. Veteran kindergarten teacher Venita Loewen will move into the teaching spot and Phillips will serve as her assistant.
“We hope everyone will continue to support the concept of preschool education,” said Glover. “We thank community members for their years of support and loyalty. Preschool has been a good addition to our educational programs.”
