Preliminary hearing for a man charged with murdering a Wichita woman at Canada April 8 was delayed until March.
McPherson lawyer David Harger told magistrate Margaret White that the hearing, originally scheduled Nov. 18, would need more time than originally scheduled.
“We need a contested setting,” Harger said.
“We are looking at a one-day preliminary hearing,” Jessica Domme, prosecutor for the attorney general’s office, said.
The earliest time the preliminary hearing could be scheduled is 9 a.m. March 5.
Harger has filed a motion to inspect one of the crime scenes and the property has not allowed Harger access to the crime scene.
