Oct. 30 — A traffic complaint at Ash and Grand Sts., dog at large in the 200 block of S. Washington St., and gas skip in the 300 block of N. Ash. St. were investigated.

Oct. 31 — A dog-at-large complaint in the 300 block of S. Ash St., missing dog in the 200 block of S. Ash St., and noise complaint at Third and Cedar Sts. were investigated.

Nov. 1 — A child was spoken to about appropriate behavior. A dog at large in the 200 block of S. Main St. was investigated.

Nov. 2 — A commercial alarm in the 900 block of E. Grand St., residential alarm in the 300 block of S. Wilson St., and report of a large truck failing to use the truck route at B and Lincoln Sts. were investigated. A consensual vehicle search was performed.

Thursday — A child welfare concern in the 300 block of E. First St. and report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of E. Second St. were investigated.

Friday — A report of an abandoned vehicle in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. and dog at large in the 300 block of N. Main St. were investigated.

Saturday — A report of a gas smell at Adams and First St. and death notification in the 900 block of E. D St. were investigated.

Oct. 31 — Hedge apples on Main St. hill and in a USD 408 school parking lot were investigated.

Nov. 1 — A report of a baby stroller in a ditch near Roosevelt and Batt Sts. Was investigated; stroller with belongings was located and taken to police department. A civil issue was investigated.

Nov. 2 — Warnings for no seatbelt and speeding were issued. Bicycle safety presentations were given at Marion Elementary School. A juvenile at Oasis was investigated. A large snake was removed from a roadway in a school zone. An officer met with a citizen in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. per request.

Thursday — Two warnings for no tag light and no headlamp were issued. A juvenile was spoken with at Oasis.

Friday — A defiant child at Oasis was investigated. A report of possible damage to property in the 400 block of N. Cedar St. was investigated. An accident on private property and suspicious activity were investigated. Three warnings for speeding were issued.

Saturday — A child custody issue in the 200 block of S. Freeborn St. and report of a reckless driver in the 600 block of E. Main St. were investigated. Two warnings for speeding were issued.

Sunday — A missing dog was investigated; the dog was located.

Oct. 31 — Police responded to a complaint involving juveniles at Peabody-Burns High School. After investigation, it was determined that any accusations were unsubstantiated. Police conducted a record check for the military.

Nov. 1 — A health and safety investigation was opened. Police took an information report of an out-of-control juvenile. No action was taken by law enforcement.

Thursday — Officers took a report of a verbal domestic altercation. The situation was investigated and resolved.

Friday — A report was taken from a bank in Texas investigating fraud. A local investigation found proof of attempted fraud.

Sunday — Police were called to a residence at 3:20 a.m. to investigate a report of criminal damage to property. Someone had kicked in the front door of the residence. Police conducted a military record check.
