Feb. 29 — The owner of a vehicle that was reportedly too close to a construction zone was contacted and asked to move the car. A report of a dog-at-large was investigated and the owners were contacted. A dog suspected of being a prohibited breed was investigated and found to be legal within city limits.

March 1 — A report of a disabled vehicle in the 900 block of Denver St. was investigated and a motorist was assisted in pushing it to the curb.

March 2 — A dog-at-large was investigated and owners were given a warning when it was discovered the dog had no tags. A gas meter that was struck in the 100 block of N. Coble was investigated. Canine officer Legion assisted Peabody Police in the arrest of two Peabody men on suspicion of drug-related charges.

Thursday — A report of a backyard fire was investigated and discovered to be a fire pit within the bounds of city code.

Friday — Two nuisance property letters were delivered, and out-of-control juvenile was investigated.

Saturday — Verbal warnings for speeding, two for defective brake lights, and an expired registration were issued. A speeding citation was issued.

Sunday — A speeding citation was issued.

Peabody

March 1 – Police opened a sex crimes investigation with a juvenile as the victim.

Saturday – Krystal Strong was arrested on a Dickinson Co. warrant after a routine traffic stop. She was taken to Marion County Jail. Gabriel Mark Edwin McGregor was arrested and charged with speeding, open container, and minor in possession of alcohol.
