Hillsboro

Aug. 9 — A verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend caused a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of E. Grand St. A trespass complaint was investigated in the 400 block of S. Main St.

Aug. 10 — A large knife was discovered in Memorial Park. Officers believe that someone who had been using a park shelter left it behind.

Aug. 11 — A skater fell from a skateboard while being pulled by a vehicle near D and Wilson Sts. Police and EMS responded because the skater was unresponsive. However, the skater became responsive and refused EMS transport. The skater and driver were both issued citations.

Thursday — A report of flashlight-toting juveniles was investigated in the 500 block of E. A St. Police found no one or any signs of activity. An unauthorized vehicle was investigated near B and Birch Sts.

Friday — Officers located an unresponsive 13-year-old Hillsboro boy who appeared to be suffering from alcohol poisoning in Western Heights. Hillsboro ambulance transported him to the hospital. Police arrested an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Police investigated a report of several people riding mopeds in a reckless manner. There was also a dog complaint, and a domestic disturbance.

Saturday — A complaint of possible stalking was investigated in the 500 block of E. D St.

Thursday — Police took an information report of conflict between two residents at Westview Manor.

Saturday — Police cited Christine Erb, Newton, for driving with an expired driver’s license and no liability insurance. Officers investigated into two dogs at large that belonged to the same person. Charges will be filed with the city prosecutor.

Sunday — Brianna Washington, Peabody, was charged with criminal damage to property, inattentive driving, and child endangerment.
