July 5 — Police investigated fireworks complaints and responded to a 911 disconnect in the 500 block of S. Main St., traffic complaint at D and Ash Sts., and a report of a curfew violation at Memorial Park.
July 6 — A motorist drove into a drainage ditch at 2nd and Madison Sts. and got stuck during a rain storm. Reports of a domestic assault and a protection-from-abuse violation in the 900 block of E. D St. also were filed.
July 7 — Theft, trespassing, and a verbal domestic disturbance were reported in separate cases.
July 8 — Police investigated a noninjury accident at D and Ash Sts., a battery complaint in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St., and a skunk complaint in the 200 block of Eisenhower St.
Friday — High water on Ash St. prompted police to direct traffic there. Identity theft was reported in the 100 block of S. Wilson St. A theft was reported in the 200 block of N. Main St. A wallet was reported stolen and later turned in.
