Hillsboro

June 7 — A report of a possible drunken driver on Ash St. was taken.

June 8 — A child custody dispute in the 400 block of N. Ash St. and a dog complaint at the water plant were investigated. Property was returned to a person who had left it a local business.

June 9 — A delayed report of underage drinking in the 100 block of S. Birch St., a non-injury accident in Industrial Park, a report of reckless driving in Memorial Park, and a commercial alarm in the 300 block of N. Ash St. were investigated.

June 10 — A landlord/tenant dispute in the 400 block of S. Ash St., a child custody dispute in the 400 block of N. Ash St., and a parking complaint in the 400 block of S. Washington St. were investigated.

Thursday — Officers investigated a report of a burglary in progress on Indigo Rd. Reports of a reckless driver on US-56 as well as D and Main Sts. were taken.

Friday — A report of a pit bull in the 200 block of W. Grand St was investigated, and the dog’s owner was order to remove it from town. Reports of an underage person drinking alcohol in the 100 block of S. Birch St., a non-injury accident in the 100 block of S. Date St., and a child custody dispute in the 400 block of N. Ash St. were taken.

Saturday — A domestic disturbance was reported in the 400 block of S. Ash St. A harassment complaint was taken in the 100 block of N. Madison St. Police investigated suspicious activity in the 100 block of N. Main St.

June 8 — Property belonging to the city of Peabody was vandalized.

June 9 —A resident reported that a caller requested $325 be wired to him on the promise that someone would show up with a $3.5 million check and $60,000 in cash. Police traced the call to a number in North Carolina and filed a report with the FBI. Police recovered a vehicle stolen from Sedgwick County at Peabody Market. Gerald Michael Shaw was charged with theft and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Thursday — Officers charged Devon McGonigal with failing to stop, driving under the influence, and minor consuming alcohol. Xavier Jabary also charged with a minor consuming alcohol. Jail records indicate McGonigal was charged only with a minor consuming alcohol and his last name was spelled McGonical.

Saturday — Eric Soyez, Peabody, was charged with domestic battery.
