March 30: A motorist was issued a ticket for speeding, and there was a welfare check in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

March 31: There was a traffic complaint and a ticket issued for speeding.

April 1: Officers investigated a report of prowler. A motorist was cited for an equipment violation and a registration violation on their vehicle.

Thursday: Officers investigated an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. Police also investigated a report of a skunk under a shed.

Friday: A motorist was stopped for speeding, there was a report of a dog at large, and police investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Saturday: Police investigated underage drinking on city property, issued citations for speeding and a vehicle equipment violation, and took a call for a dog at large.

Sunday: A possible drug overdose or suicide attempt was investigated, officers also attempted to locate a stolen vehicle, and there was a report of a prank phone call.

March 31: Police created an information report for a welfare check on an adult. Officers generated a use of force report about dealing with a dog.

April 1: Police filed a case with the city prosecutor for an inoperable vehicle in the city limits.

April 2: Officers took a report of criminal damage to property.

April 5: Kari Cook of Derby was arrested and charged with driving while her license was suspended. She was taken to Marion County Jail.

March 27: Officers stopped a vehicle at Lincoln and Main Sts. for driving onto a curb. Upon further testing the driver, Patrick Bernhardt, 47, Marion, was jailed on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

March 28: Officers stopped a vehicle on US-56 west of Cedar St. for a traffic infraction. Officers discovered an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Upon further testing, the driver, Franklin Shope, 59, Herington, was jailed on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open container.

March 30: Kimberly Anderson, 24, Marion, reported the theft of $12 of motor fuel from Casey’s General Store.

March 31: Cassandra Legg, 25, Marion, reported the theft of $14 of motor fuel from Ampride.

April 1: Kevin Tidwell, 25, Marion, filed a complaint of domestic battery that occurred in the 100 block of Ashley Dr. at 9:31 p.m. Officer Michael Stone reported the suspect allegedly struck Tidwell. Kimberly Frye, 22, Marion, was jailed by police on a charge of domestic battery April 1.
