Jan. 19: A juvenile runaway complaint was investigated. An altercation that occurred outside the Tabor College gymnasium after a basketball game was investigated. A motorist was stopped for an equipment violation.

Jan. 20: Officers searched for a dog at large. Police also responded to a non-injury accident, and enforced a handicap parking violation.

Jan. 21: A pit-bull violation was investigated, and the animal was removed from city limits Thursday.

Thursday: Charges against a juvenile are pending after officers investigated a complaint of possible drug activity and seized marijuana and paraphernalia. Three speeding violations were issued.

Friday: A scooter was reported stolen and recovered later in the day. A peddler’s permit violation was investigated, and two curfew violations were issued.

Saturday: Officers monitored basketball games.

Sunday: A parking violation was investigated.

Jan. 19 Police performed a record check for the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission. Officers opened a sexual assault investigation involving a female juvenile victim. Charges include five counts of rape and three counts of aggravated criminal sodomy. The investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 21 Police investigated the theft of a financial card. The case has been resolved and the card returned to the owner.

Thurs. Police opened a case for two abandoned dogs. The dogs are being cared for at the city shelter until the court case can be resolved. The animals might then be available for adoption or foster care. Charges are pending against the owner.
