Dec. 7: Officers responded to a child custody dispute in the 300 block of S. Washington St., took a traffic complaint, and took a dog complaint at Tabor College.

Dec. 8: Officers took a vandalism complaint in the 200 block of W. B St. in which man reported that someone threw eggs at his vehicle. Police took a phone harassment complaint in the 400 block of E. First St. in which a woman said she was receiving unwanted phone calls from a restricted number. She believed the caller to be her estranged husband.

Officers attended a firearms qualification and low-light shoot, and took a harassment complaint in which a person reported that someone was posting less than true information about them on social media.

Dec. 9: Officers responded to a call from a business in Hillsboro Heights that reported someone had used an expired prepaid card to purchase food. The person was located and returned to pay for the food.

Dec. 10: Police responded to a report of a wheelbarrow taken from the corner of Ash and Grand Sts. The people who took the wheelbarrow were located and informed officers that they had taken it to transport their laundry to Tabor College. Police conducted a drug identification class for USD 410 staff.

Thursday: Officers took a damage complaint, returned lost property, and conducted drug awareness training for EMS staff at city hall.

Friday: Police took a report of a bobcat in the 300 block of N. Madison St. The alleged bobcat was later discovered to be a domestic cat. Officers took a report from a man who found his stolen bicycle in the 400 block of S. Ash St.

Saturday: Police took a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of N. Washington St., and took a traffic complaint.

PEABODY

Dec. 9: Police took a report of telephone harassment and forwarded it to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Dec. 10: Jarred Feldman, Peabody, was arrested and charged with failure to appear in Peabody Municipal Court. Michael Wallace, Peabody, was arrested and charged with direct contempt of court.

Thursday: Police took a report of theft of property on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks. A sign was stolen. Police worked a non-injury traffic accident on private property.
