Dec. 1: Officers took complaints of a criminal threat, traffic, and a dog at large.

Dec. 2: After police checked on a suspicious person walking south on Main St., the mother of a Hillsboro girl was contacted and picked her up. Officers took a possible fraud complaint and assisted a wrecker service with traffic control at 190th and Jade Rds.

Dec. 3: Police took complaints of an attempted phone scam, a reckless driver, and harassment.

Thursday: Officers took a report of someone knocking on a door in the middle of the night in the 100 block of N. Washington St. The person told police that no one was present when they answered the door.

Friday: Police took traffic and dog complaints.

Saturday: Officers checked a suspicious person sleeping in Memorial Park. Police also issued a curfew violation to a Hillsboro youth and called the parents about lack of supervision.

MARION

Nov. 20: Officers took a report of harassment, assisted with an ambulance call, and met with the county attorney for case review.

Nov. 21: Officers took a report of a possible child in need of care, followed up on a case for municipal court, met with the county attorney, and worked on a drug investigation.

Nov. 22: Officers conducted a traffic stop and narcotics were located; felony distribution charges were filed. Officers responded to a burglary call, and the suspect was arrested for possession of a meth pipe and violation of a protection from abuse order. Another suspect was arrested for possession of methamphetamines and a meth pipe. Further investigation led to locating suspects related to burglary in Peabody area. Stolen items were seized.

Nov. 23: Officers sought a search warrant for an ongoing drug investigation; three were arrested and two children were placed in police protective custody. All crimes were drug-related felonies.

Nov. 24: Officers responded to a dog complaint, and issued a verbal warning for a dog at large.

Nov. 25: Officers responded to a 911 call and took a report on an IRS impersonation scam.

Nov. 26: Officers patrolled the city, conducted building checks, worked on reports, and followed up on investigations.

Nov. 27: Officers conducted several traffic stops for speed and equipment; spoke with person walking on foot in early morning hours.

Nov. 28: Officers conducted foot patrol on South Cedar, Freeborn, and Roosevelt Sts., conducted traffic enforcement, patrolled the city and city shop, and responded to a civil issue.

Nov. 29: Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver on US-56, located the vehicle, and no problems were found. Officers issued citations for seatbelt and broken windshield violations.

Nov. 30: Officers patrolled the city and city shop, and completed office paperwork.

Dec. 1: Officers worked on case of missing children who were found in Newton and returned to Marion; a child in need of care case was started and the children were taken into custody. Officers conducted follow-up on a narcotics investigation. Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in the park after curfew, and issued curfew warnings.

Dec. 2: Officers assisted community corrections, investigated a complaint about stop sign violations at Main and Cedar Sts., completed a child in need of care case and filed it with the county attorney’s office, and responded to a report of a skunk in front of Subway. The skunk was captured and released into the wild.

Nov. 25: Police assisted rounding up loose cattle in the 100 block of S. Locust St. Keys found downtown were turned in to the Peabody State Bank and turned over to Peabody Police Department. Anyone missing keys should go to the police department and describe them to claim the keys.

Dec. 1: Jennifer Reagan of Valparaiso, Indiana, was arrested on a Peabody Municipal Court warrant on a charge of failure to appear.

Dec. 3: The theft of a purse was reported by staff at Peabody Care Center. The purse was recovered and returned to its owner.

THURSDAY: Joseph Habluetzel, 22, Lacy Laffery, 23, and Tim Atwell, 25, all of 210 N. Vine were arrested and each charged with battery.
