Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Nov. 25 – Officers recovered a stolen rifle.

Nov. 26 – A custody dispute was reported, which was determined to be a civil matter. Dog complaints were reported in the 100 block of W. 2nd St. and the 500 block of W. Grand Ave. A prowler was reported in the 100 block of N. Madison St., but no one was found.

Nov. 27 – A 911 disconnect was reported in the 100 block of Elm St., and a suspicious vehicle was reported on Indigo Rd.

Friday – A camper hookup was provided at Memorial Park.

Saturday – A dog complaint was reported in the 600 block of N. Ash St. False alarms were reported in the 500 block of W. Grand Ave, and Industrial Park.

Sunday – A custody dispute, and a reckless driver on US-56 were reported. A false alarm was reported in the 500 block of E. D St.

Marion

Nov. 25 – A loose dog was picked up by law enforcement. Three motorists were warned for equipment violations at various locations, and a motorist received a citation for driving without a license in the 700 block of S. Cedar St.

Nov. 26 – A motorist near Main and 1st Sts. was warned for a headlight out

Nov. 27 – A dog complaint was reported in the 100 block of N. Cedar St. A motorist received a citation for left wheels to curb in the 1200 block of Denver St.

Friday – A suspicious vehicle reported near Denver and Elm Sts. ended up being a resident’s vehicle. A vehicle burglary was reported in the 100 block of S. 2nd St., but there is no report yet. Suspicious activity was reported in the 900 block of Melvin St.

Saturday – A suspicious vehicle reported near Central Park ended up being a motorist trying to find WiFi reception. A large boom was reported in the 300 block of N. Roosevelt St., but nothing was found.

Sunday – A welfare check was provided in the 300 block of S. Roosevelt St. A reckless driver was reported on US-56.
