Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Oct. 28 — An assault was reported, but the victim did not pursue charges.

Oct. 29 — A suspicious person was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St.

Oct. 30 — A parking complaint was reported in the 400 block of S. Ash St.

Nov. 1 – A suspicious person in the 300 block of N. Ash St., and a dog complaint in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St. were both reported. A motorist received assistance on US-56.

Nov. 2 – A person reported a lost driver’s license.

Nov. 3 – A harassment complaint was reported for a Hillsboro resident, but the person was in Kansas City.

Nov. 4 – Debris was cleared from the roadway on US-56.

Nov. 5 – Utility company workers received assistance moving a vehicle from the street. A noninjury accident was investigated at Industrial Park, but no accident report was needed.

Nov. 6 – A fraud attempt was reported after a customer tried to return an item that was not the same as the purchased item in the 100 block of N. Main St.

Thursday – Assistance was provided to remove an unwanted person from a residence.

Friday – Officers removed cattle from the roadway. A motorist received assistance on Indigo Rd.

Saturday – A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 300 block of N. Ash St.

Marion

Nov. 4 – A motorist was warned for no tag light on US-56 near Ridge Rd.

Nov. 5 – A person was warned for a loud stereo in the 700 block of S. Cedar St, and a motorist received a citation for a trailer parked in the road in the 600 block of S. Cedar St.

Nov. 6 – A scam attempt was reported. A loud boom was reported from the previous night in the 700 block of S. Cedar St. A loose dog was reported in the 300 block of S. Cedar St., and a 911 disconnect was investigated in the 100 block of Eisenhower St. A motorist received a citation in the 400 block of S. Freeborn St. for no turn signal.

Thursday – A lost wallet was turned in to law enforcement.

Friday – A child reported missing was found, and city workers were notified of a water leak in the 100 block of Grant St.

Saturday – A motorist was warned for speeding near Elm and Main Sts., and a driving complaint was reported near Industrial Rd. and US-56. A loose dog was reported in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St., and a suspicious person was reported in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St. A lost bicycle was turned in to law enforcement.

Sunday – A disabled vehicle was investigated in the 100 block of N. Freeborn St., and a person received a citation for a loose dog in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. A person was warned for trespassing in the 400 block of N. Freeborn St., and a disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Walnut St.

Nov. 6 – A protection from stalking violation was reported. The incident is under investigation. A domestic disturbance investigated in 600 block of N. Maple St. was determined to be verbal only, and no action was taken.

Thursday – An unwanted person was removed from a residence in the 800 block of N. Chestnut St.

Saturday – A protection order violation was reported. The incident is under investigation.
