Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Aug. 12 – A verbal disturbance was investigated at the Family Aquatics Center, and possible a DCF order violation was investigated, but no action was taken.

Aug. 13 – A civil matter was investigated involving an abandoned vehicle on private property, and a dog complaint was reported in the 200 block of S. Elm St. A suspicious vehicle was investigated in the 100 block of W. D St., and a child custody dispute was reported in the 300 block of S. Main St. A suspicious vehicle was investigated in the 500 block of E. 1st St., a motorist received a citation for reckless driving on US-56, and a reckless driver was reported at US-50 and Indigo Rd. Disorderly conduct was reported in the 900 block of E. D St., but the suspects left before officers arrived. A welfare check was provided in the 600 block of S. Ash St. for an individual who was transported to Hillsboro Community Hospital. A dog complaint was reported at Washington and D Sts.

Thursday – A motorist received assistance with a flat tire in the 1900 block of Goldenrod Rd., a suspicious vehicle was reported in the 700 block of S. Washington St., and trespassing was reported in the 500 block of W. Grand Ave.

Friday – A suspicious vehicle was investigated at Western Heights Cir.

Saturday – Two camper hookups were provided at Memorial Park.

Sunday – A camper hookup was provided at Memorial Park, a traffic complaint was reported in the 500 block of E. D St., and a 911 disconnect was investigated in the 500 block of S. Wilson St.

Marion

Aug. 12 – A possible theft was investigated in the 1000 block of Industrial Rd., and a possible intoxicated person was reported walking in the 600 block of E. Main St. A motorist received a citation for a parking violation in the 100 block of S. Roosevelt.

Aug. 13 – Residents were warned for mowing grass into the street in the 200 and 300 blocks of Grant St.

Aug. 14 – A scam attempt was reported.

Thursday – A motorist was warned for speeding in the 700 block of E. Main St., and a false alarm was investigated in the 200 block of E. Main St. A 911 disconnect was investigated in the Industrial Park, and a resident was warned for mowing grass into the street in the 100 block of Eisenhower Rd. A false alarm was investigated in the 200 block of E. Main St.

Friday – False alarms were investigated in the 200 and 1200 blocks of E. Main St. A loose dog was caught in the 300 block of N. Cedar St. and taken to Animal Health Center. Motorists were warned for traffic infractions, and received citations for a trailer parked in the street in the 400 block of S. Cedar St., parking on a public sidewalk in the 1500 block of E. Main St., and for parking against traffic in the 400 block of E. Santa Fe St.

Saturday – A possible protection order violation was investigated in the 300 block of Miller St. A loose dog was caught at Carlson’s Grocery and taken to AHC.

Sunday – A motorist was warned for mowing grass into the street in the 500 block of N. Cedar St., and a motorist received a citation for expired registration and no proof of insurance near 4th and Santa Fe Sts. A domestic disturbance was investigated in the 400 block of S. Coble St., but no action was taken. Motorists were warned for no tag light on US-56 near Upland Rd., and for speeding on US-150.

Peabody

Aug. 12 – A verbal disturbance was investigated at 905 N. Vine St.

Saturday – A verbal disturbance was investigated in the 400 block N. Olive St.

Sunday – A verbal threat was investigated in the 500 block of Peabody St.
