Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

May 6 – Illegal trash dumping was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St. A motorist driving on private property was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St. An unlicensed door-to-door sales crew was reported. A 10-year-old child was reported missing, but ended up being at a friend’s house.

May 8 – Missing medication was reported at a residence. Dogs left out in the rain were reported and brought inside by the owner. A skunk was reported in the 200 block of Eisenhower St., but could not be found.

May 9 – A motorist was warned for hauling an unsafe load in the 900 block of E. D St. Two motorists were warned for speeding on US-56.

May 10 – A motorist was warned for equipment violation on a vehicle.

May 11 – A loose dog reported in the 100 block of N. Lincoln St. was secured by its owner.

Marion

May 6 – A motorist was warned for no brake light. Officers were contacted in reference to a civil matter. A motorist received a citation for speeding near Cedar St. Suspicious activity was reported in the 100 block of N. Roosevelt St., but everything was OK.

May 7 – Officers met with individuals in reference to a civil matter. A parking complaint was reported in the 1500 block of Victory Ln., and the vehicle was moved. A motorist was warned for speeding on Main St. near Lincoln St. A motorist was warned for failing to signal in the 1100 block of E. Main St.

May 8 – Officers met with people who had questions about closed roadways due to flooding. A sick skunk was put down in the 200 block of Tanglewood St.

May 9 – A dispute was reported over property lines in the 300 block of N. Freeborn St.

May 10 – A loose dog in the 800 block of Weldon was taken to Animal Health Center. A motorist was warned for no tag light on US-56 near Cedar St.

May 11 – A motorist received a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device and driving with a suspended license in the 200 block of E. Main St. A suspicious person was reported in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St., but everything was OK.

May 12 – A motorist received a citation for speeding near Main and 3rd Sts. A motorist was warned for headlight out near Cedar St. and US-56.
