Activity reports

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

April 21 – A civil standby was done in the 100 block of S. Ash St.

April 22 – A traffic complaint was reported in the 200 block of S. Birch St. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Kanza Rd., but everything was OK. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 500 block of S. Ash St., but everything was OK.

April 25 – Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of N. Ash St., but everything was OK.

April 26 – Suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of S. Adams St., but everything was OK.

April 27 – A commercial alarm was reported in Hillsboro Heights, but everything was OK. A parking complaint was reported at the Hillsboro sports complex. A commercial alarm was reported in Hillsboro Heights but everything was OK.

Marion

April 22 – Individuals were contacted for a pair of dogs running loose near Freeborn and Main Sts. A dog running loose in the 600 block of S. Cedar St. was taken to Animal Health Center. An individual was warned for an illegally parked vehicle in the 700 block of Denver St. A motorist was arrested in the 400 block of S. 4th St. on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

April 23 – An individual was contacted for a dog running loose in the 300 block of Grant St.

April 24 – An individual was contacted for a dog running loose in the 200 block of N. Lincoln St.

April 25 – A motorist and passenger received citations for transportation of an open container after officers received a complaint of a beer can thrown out the window of a vehicle on 190th Rd. A motorist received assistance with a vehicle lockout in the 1100 block of E. Main St. A broken-down vehicle was checked near Main and Locust Sts, and everything was OK.

April 26 – A possible protection order violation was reported, but no official report was made. A motorist was warned for no headlights on 190th Rd. A vehicle break-in was reported in the 800 block of E. Lawrence St., but nothing was taken and the victim did not file an official report.

April 27 – A motorist was assisted with a broken-down vehicle in the 200 block of E. Main St. An individual reportedly looking in mailboxes in the 200 and 300 blocks of S. Roosevelt St. could not be found. An individual was contacted for a dog running loose near Lincoln and Denver Sts. A report of damage to property was made in the 600 block of Walnut St. Three motorists were warned for no tag lights on US-56. A motorist received a citation for speeding on US-56 near Cedar St. An individual received assistance with a boat over concerns the battery would catch fire.

April 28 – A dog running loose was caught in the 700 block of S. Roosevelt St. A disgruntled customer was reported in the 1000 block of E. Main St., but no action was taken. An individual hitting golf balls into a neighbor’s yard was reported. A motorist was warned for no headlights on Main St. near Eastmoor Dr.
