Hillsboro

Nov. 17 — A non-injury accident was reported in the 100 block of S. Birch St. and a report was made of an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of N. Ash St. which was parked on private property.

Nov. 18 — A dog complaint was reported in the 400 block of S. Cedar St.

Nov. 19 — Stolen property was returned to its owner; and a possible drunk driver was reported.

Nov. 20 — A non-injury accident at Ash and 2nd Sts. was reported.

Nov. 21 — Officers investigated a dog complaint at 3rd and Washington Sts. and a report of suspicious activity in the 200 block of S. Elm St.

Nov. 22 — A parking complaint was reported in the 200 block of E. 3rd St. and a report was taken of harassment by telephone.

Nov. 23 — A dog complaint in the 300 block of N. Madison St. was investigated and a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of W. B St. was found to be verbal only.

Nov. 24 — Numerous traffic tickets were given during a traffic stop, including operating a motorcycle with no registration, no valid motorcycle license, no insurance, no eye protection, and allowing a passenger under 18 to ride without a helmet.

Nov. 17 — A verbal warning for speeding was given during a traffic stop near 1st and Water Sts.

Nov. 18 — A citation for speeding and no proof of insurance was given during a traffic stop on 3rd St. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 500 block of N. Coble St. and turned out to be disabled.

Nov. 19 — Several verbal warnings were issued for speeding and one for headlight out; found property was given to police.

Nov. 20 — Two verbal warnings were issued to high school students for having windows obstructed by frost. Two dogs were reported at large in the 700 block of Nickerson, but the owner picked up the dogs. A report was made of a possible disturbance. A citation for no registration and no proof of liability insurance was issued in the 100 block of N. Freeborn St., theft was reported in the 400 block of S. 4th St., and a parking complaint was taken in the 100 block of N. Lincoln.

Nov. 21 — A verbal warning for improper display of registration was given during a traffic stop on US-56 near Upland Rd.

Nov. 22 — A welfare check was done in the 900 block of Highland St., a verbal warning for speeding and failure to signal was given during a traffic stop at Main and 1st. Sts., and a verbal warning for speeding was given during a traffic stop at Main and 3rd. Sts.

Nov. 23 — Two dogs at large were reported in the 1200 block of E. Main St. One was taken to Animal Health Center and the other eluded capture. Police conducted a traffic stop near Coble and Main Sts. and gave a verbal warning for headlamp out. Rebecca Williams, 44, Lincolnville, was arrested on suspicion of violation of restrictions and transporting an open container of alcohol after a traffic stop for having a headlamp out.

Nov. 24 — A verbal warning for an illegal turn was given during a traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Main St., a citation for speeding was given during a traffic stop on US-56, and several verbal warnings for equipment violations were given during traffic stops on US-56. Police took a report of possible theft in the 500 block of S. Cedar St.
