Hillsboro

Oct. 29 — Suspicious activity in the 200 block of S. Main was reported; several Hillsboro traffic signs were recovered outside of town; a dog complaint in the 200 block of S. Adams St. was investigated.

Oct. 30 — Burglary in the 500 block of S. Main was investigated.

Nov. 1 — A report of a suicidal subject was investigated.

Nov. 2 — Officers investigated a traffic complain on Indigo Rd. and a dog complaint at Grand and Ash Sts. Lost property was returned to its owner.

Nov. 3 — A break-in was reported at the fairgrounds and a minor non-injury accident in Hillsboro Heights was investigated.

Oct. 29 — A homeowner blowing leaves on a city street was informed of city ordinance.

Oct. 30 — A dog at large in the 500 block of S. Freeborn St. was taken to Animal Health Center; another dog at large in the 500 block of S. Roosevelt St. was picked up by the owner; the owner of a third dog at large in the 300 block of S. Lincoln St. was contacted to pick it up; a speeding citation was written.

Oct 31 — Two verbal warnings were given for traffic infractions; and a citation was given for a dog at large.

Nov. 1 — Verbal warnings were given for expired registration and failure to signal.

Nov. 2 — Verbal warnings were issued for parking in a no parking zone and trespassing; a speeding citation was written.

Nov. 3 — A fire on Sunflower Rd. was extinguished using a fire extinguisher; a possible gas theft was reported; verbal warnings were issued for failure to use a turn signal and no tag light.

Nov. 4 — An unattended child near a roadway was investigated and the mother advised the child went outside while she was showering; officers investigated theft from a motor vehicle in the 800 block of Welch St. and a verbal warning was issued for failure to use a turn signal; theft of a motor vehicle was reported in the 200 block of N. 1st. St.
