INCIDENT REPORTS
City police departments provided these reports this week of their recent activities. Routine activities and assistance provided to other agencies are excluded.
HILLSBORO
July 16 — A juvenile violating curfew and a motorist driving without lights were cited. Police also took a report of a scam in which a caller pretended to be with the Internal Revenue Service.
July 17 — A motorist received an equipment violation, a resident’s dogs were checked by police and health department workers, and a person who fell from a roof was helped.
July 18 — Police investigated a person yelling at midnight downtown, a dog reported to be running free, and an abandoned vehicle in addition to taking a report of a dog bite and helping a motorist.
Thursday — Two speeding tickets were issued, and suspicious activity at the city park and a suspicious person at Hillsboro Community Hospital were investigated.
Friday — Police took a report of a dog being left in a hot car at Wendy’s restaurant.
Saturday — Officers assisted sheriff’s deputies with a domestic dispute at the county lake and an accident near 190th and Quail Creek Rds. and helped Marion police with a traffic stop and a chase near US-56/77 and 260th Rd.
Sunday — Police took a complaint of a dog running free.
