Police provided these reports this week of their activities. Routine training, patrols, office work and other assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Sept. 25 — Officers performed a civil stand-by in the 100 block of S. Date St.; transported a prisoner from McPherson to Hillsboro Municipal Court; and investigated a report of dogs at large.

Sept. 26 — Officers investigated a report of a truck stolen from Hillsboro Community Hospital and cited a driver for an equipment violation.

Sept. 27 — Citations for speeding, driving on a suspended driver’s license, and equipment violation were issued. Officers investigated a possible drug odor at Birchwood Apartments.

Thursday — Officers investigated a reported burglary at Flemings Store-All and performed a civil standby.

Friday — Officers investigated a complaint of animal cruelty in the 200 block of W. B St. and a reckless driving complaint. They conducted a welfare check, and addressed a curfew violation.

Saturday — Officers facilitated a child custody exchange at the police department. Driving complaints in Memorial Park and on US-56 and a parking complaint were investigated. Officers issued a citation for a stop sign violation. A trespass complaint in the 500 block of E. A St. was investigated.

Sunday — A fire alarm at Dollar General and a report of dogs at large were investigated. Officers performed a welfare check.

Peabody

Sept. 25 — Officers investigated a hit-and-run accident in the 200 block of N. Maple St.

Sept. 26 — Lena Robinson was arrested on a district court warrant. Officers took an information report concerning domestic violence in the 200 block of N. Elm St. Lacey Lafferty was arrested on a court warrant.

Friday — Officers investigated an accidental firearm discharge that wounded a 30-year-old male in the 100 block of E. 2nd St.

Saturday — Officers took reports of a dog at large, a fireworks complaint, and criminal damage to property.

Sunday — Mary McFadden was arrested on a county warrant.
