Hillsboro
August 27 — Officers followed up on last week’s vandalism cases.
August 28 — Police assisted with a child custody dispute. Officers took a civil complaint from a subject with vehicle damage. Police gave a curfew violation in Memorial Park.
August 29 — Officers took a report from a subject who reported a missing a wallet. Officers went to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of S. Date St. Police assisted with a child custody dispute. The subject reported an ex-spouse using inappropriate language. Officers went to a second domestic dispute in the 200 block of S. Date St. Police took a traffic complaint in the 400 block of E. Grand Ave. Officers assisted a parent with a non-compliant child in the 900 block of E. D St. Police took a report of a reckless driver in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St.
August 30 — Police took a report of several gas skips at Ampride. Management discovered there was a problem with the card reader. A clerk also reported a shoplifter at the business. Officers took a theft report in the 300 block of S. Ash St. Officers assisted with a civil standby at Madison and A Sts. Police took a report of people loitering in the 900 block of E. D St.
Thursday — Officers took a report of a traffic complaint on 3rd St. Officers assisted a motorist at Wilson and A. Sts. Police took a report of a dog complaint in the 200 block of S. Madison St. Officers assisted with a minor traffic accident in the 800 block of W. Grand Ave. Police took a noise complaint in the 100 block of S. Ash St.
Friday — Police took a report of an aggressive dog in the 300 block of N. Washington St. Officers assisted with a civil standby in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. Police took a dog complaint report in the 200 block of S. Main St. Officers took a report of a traffic complaint in the 300 block of N. Ash St. Police assisted the sheriff with a dog bite complaint. Police went to a child custody dispute in the 700 block of S. Lincoln St. Officers took a report of disorderly conduct in the 200 block of E. Grand Ave.
Saturday — Officers destroyed a skunk.
Peabody
Aug. 31 — A verbal warning was issued for health and safety violations at 606 N. Walnut St.
Sept. 4 — Officers took a report of vandalism to a patrol car.
Sept. 4 — Rochelle Atwood of Newton was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, transportation of an open container, disorderly conduct, being a habitual violator, driving with a revoked license, illegal vehicle registration, and no proof of insurance.
