Hillsboro police

Dec. 8: Officers took a dog complaint.

Dec. 9: Police responded to reports of a possible fraudulent check, a possible attempted phone scam, and addressed a domestic disturbance. Officers investigated a damage complaint in which a stray bullet appeared to have entered a building. Police also took a report of a suspicious vehicle and a theft report in which a dog was reported stolen. Upon investigation, officers discovered it to be a civil matter because the dog was in custody of a second owner.

Dec. 10: Police took a report of a possible scam. Officers also took a harassment complaint in Hillsboro Heights, in which an employee was harrased by a patron.

Dec. 11: Police took a traffic complaint. Officers also took reports of a missing person and a stolen iPod.

Thursday: Police took a traffic complaint, two trespassing complaints, and a report of suspicious persons.

Friday: Officers took a noise complaint and a harassment complaint. Police also responded to a possible protection from abuse order violation.

Saturday: Police performed a civil standby and assisted with a fire alarm at Tabor College.

Dec. 5: Police took a report of a gas skip.

Dec. 6: Police served an arrest warrant for Jason Anderson, 40, of Marion where the suspect had a syringe containing methamphetamine, and checked a suspicious vehicle. Officers conducted a welfare check on resident and everything was found to be OK.

Dec. 7: Officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance; everything was found to be OK.

Dec. 8: Police responded to a call of possible shots fired, and a dog at large, investigated a possible missing person; police believe no foul play occurred. Officers met with a resident in reference to an overdue juvenile, located the juvenile and returned to guardian, provided a welfare check on a dog; was found to be OK.

Dec. 9: Officers responded to Oasis to assist with a disruptive child.

Dec. 11: Police took two reports of criminal damage to property, checked on an overdue citizen from the previous day; she had returned home OK.

Thursday: Officers assisted Oasis with an out-of-control child; the child was taken to juvenile intake and then released to a parent.

Friday: Officers assisted Marion County Sheriff’s Department with an accident at 190th and Nighthawk Rds., involving a Goessel school vehicle taking kids to school.

Saturday: Police took a report of lost property; the property was found and returned to owner. Officers took reports of a possible theft of an iPod, of an animal hit by a vehicle, and kids ringing door bells and running away.

Sunday: Police took a report of someone running down the street wearing just a Santa hat.

PEABODY POLICE

Dec. 5: Police assisted with a juvenile situation.

Dec. 10: Police arrested Brandon Farrar on a charge of domestic battery. Officers assisted with a civil situation.

Thursday: Police provided an outside assist to Marion County Sheriff’s Department. Bryon Hightower was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Friday: Crystal Nichols was arrested on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

Monday: Police provided a U.S. Military Records check.
