ACTIVITY REPORTS

Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.

HILLSBORO

July 17 — A light was broken on a storage shed outside Grand Oaks Apartments.

July 18 — A driver in the 100 block of W. Grand Ave. was cited for possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and warned about an equipment violation.

July 19 — A juvenile was reported to have run away from a residence in the 300 block of W. B St. Police helped with an animal control issue in the 100 block of S. Birch St.

Thursday — A juvenile reported as a runaway was processed through juvenile intake. An alarm in the 100 block of N. Jefferson St. accidentally was tripped. Police met with juveniles riding bicycles on the city’s splash pad.

Friday — A 10-year-old child was reported to be out of control. A dog running free at Main St. and Grand Ave. was returned to its owner. No problems were found in checking on a resident of the 300 block of E. 1st St.

Saturday — A driver in the 100 block of N. Main St. was warned about not using headlights and other at US-56 and Adams St. was warned about an equipment violation. A vacation house watch was arranged.

Sunday — Police provided transportation to the sheriff’s office for two people.

MARION

Citing privacy concerns, Marion police have declined to provide a weekly report of their activities.
