ACTIVITY REPORTS
Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded. Dates may reflect starting or ending dates of officers’ shifts rather than actual dates of occurrence.
HILLSBORO
Feb. 20 — Eleven warnings for parking violations were issued through the city. A driver in the 100 block of E. D St. was cited for possession of marijuana and warned about littering and driving with an expired license. A traffic complaint in the 300 block of N. Ash St. was determined to be unfounded.
Feb. 21 — A driver in the 400 block of N. Ash St. was warned for speeding.
Feb. 22 — A $5 bill tendered at Ampride and thought to be counterfeit was determined by police and bankers to be legitimate. A report of an online scam was investigated. No problems were found during a check on the welfare of a resident of the 200 block of S. Lincoln St.
Thursday — Police met with a resident trying to locate a dog that was running free. An email scam was reported. No problems were found after a disconnected 911 call originating from the 100 block of S. Adams St.
Friday — Two juveniles were warned about violating curfew. A driver in the 500 block of S. Ash St. was warned about speeding.
Saturday — Daylight theft of a catalytic converter from an employee’s vehicle at Pizza Hut was investigated. A 19-year-old rural Lehigh woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, criminal damage to property, and disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute in which a TV set was damaged. A driver was cited for speeding in the 200 block of E. D St.
Sunday — Police helped an owner find a lost dog.
MARION
Feb. 20 — A white Ford F-150 that a caller said hit a guardrail at Main St. and Eisenhower Dr. was found undamaged.
Feb. 21 — Police went to St. Luke Hospital to take a report of a cat bite. A possibly rabid raccoon reported in the 100 block of Washington St. was not located.
Feb. 22 — A dog reportedly running free in the 300 block of N. Lincoln St. was not located.
Thursday — Routine activities.
Friday — A parking ticket was issued in the 900 block of Melvin St. The owner of a possibly abandoned vehicle in the 200 block of S. Lincoln St. was contacted about moving the vehicle.
Saturday — A driver in the 200 block of E. Main St. was warned for making an illegal U-turn.
Sunday — A 44-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly violating an order of protection at a campground and storage yard in Jex Addition. A burglar alarm at Tampa State Bank proved to be a false alarm.
