Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.

Hillsboro

Oct. 26 — A complaint was made of a broken down vehicle on Santa Fe St.

Oct. 27 — Police checked on dogs being kept in a horse trailer at Country Haven Inn. Police determined proper accommodations were made after speaking to the animals’ owner. Suspicious activity reported in the 100 block of N. Ash St. proved to be new property owners working late.

Oct. 28 — Officers answered questions for a person who found guns among a dead relative’s belongings. Complaints were made of a person trespassing at Subway, and a theft at Ampride. Both cases are under investigation. A complaint was made of suspicious men in the 200 block of S. Main St. but no one was found by police.

Thursday — A complaint was made of a stolen license plate tag in the 300 block of N. Adams St. A report was made of erratic driving, which proved to be an elderly driver. A complaint of harassing text messages was referred to a different jurisdiction since it happened in Wichita.

Friday — Several motorists were warned for parking violations in the 400 block of S. Adams St. A delayed report was made of a hit-and-run accident at Tabor College. Only minor damage occurred and no accident report was needed. A group of children was warned for tossing a football across Ash St. near traffic. A found wallet was returned to its owner. A motorist was warned for speeding, and two motorists were cited for speeding.

Saturday — A suspicious vehicle reported at Joel H. Wiens Stadium was not found.

Sunday — Police answered questions for a family after the death of an elderly relative in the 700 block of S. Ash St., but nothing suspicious was found. A person had questions about landlord-tenant issues but was told it was a civil issue. Police responded to a false alarm at Ampride that accidentally was set off by an employee. A complaint was made of two vehicles speeding on D St. The vehicles later were reported drag racing on Industrial Rd. near Hillsboro Community Hospital, when one of them crashed into a westbound vehicle on US-56. The vehicle that did not crash left the scene but later was located. The case is under investigation.

Oct. 26 — A dog-owner was contacted about a dog running free in the 200 block of Vine St.

Oct. 27 — A motorist was warned for speeding near Cedar St. and US-56.

Oct. 28 — A motorist was warned for not using rear lights while in reverse. A non-injury accident was reported near Denver and Roosevelt St. A scam attempt was reported.

Thursday — A dog-owner was contacted about a dog running free in the 200 block of N. 4th St. Officers assisted with an out-of-control juvenile in the 100 block of Jefferson St.

Friday — A dog running free was taken to Animal Health Center. A complaint was made of juveniles riding a golf cart. A motorist was warned for speeding on US-56 near Cedar St., and a motorist was cited for driving 90 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone on US-56 near Cedar St.

Saturday — Officers met with a person about a parking complaint. Three motorists were warned for various traffic violations on US-56.

Sunday — Five motorists were warned for various traffic violations.

Oct. 26 — drug overdose in the 100 block

Oct. 27 — A report was made of identity theft in the 200 block of N. Walnut St.

Friday — A motorist was cited for speeding on US-50.

Saturday — A motorist was cited for speeding on US-50.
