Law enforcement agencies provided these reports of their activities this past week. Routine activities such as patrols, inspections, training, report-writing, and assistance to other agencies are excluded.
Hillsboro
July 13 — Police assisted with a property dispute in the 400 block of S. Date St. A motorist was cited for having no interlock device. A motorist was warned for equipment violations in the 200 block of N. Ash St. A motorist was cited for driving with a suspended license in the 100 block of W. C St.
July 14 — A 911 disconnect was investigated in the 600 block of Orchard Dr. A motorist was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign in the 100 block of S. Ash St. Motorists were warned for speeding on US-56 at K-15 and on Jade Rd. at US-56. A false fire alarm was investigated on K-168 near 200th Rd., just south of Lehigh.
July 15 — A snake was removed from the street at Main St. and Grand Ave. and released in a non-public area. A motorist was warned for not using a turn signal at Ash St. and Orchard Dr. A juvenile was warned for being at Memorial Park after curfew.
Thursday — A parking complaint was reported in the 200 block of W. B St. Officers responded to a false alarm at Nextec Wireless. A motorist was warned for having malfunctioning trailer lights at Ash and F Sts. No one could be found when investigating a trespassing complaint in the 200 block of N. Jefferson St.
Friday — An elderly woman received assistance with a cell phone issue. A motorist was warned for not using a turn signal on Orchard Dr.
Saturday — Two dogs running free in the 200 block of S. Madison St. were caught by their owner. A person was assisted with a parking issue in the 300 block of N. Main St. A motorist was warned for improperly displaying a vehicle tag at Washington and 1st Sts.

July 14 — An adolescent racoon was caught near Marion High School and released to a safe area. A 911 disconnect near Maple and Freeborn St. proved to be a pocket dial. A motorist was warned for operating an ATV without a proper permit in the 100 block of N. 2nd St. Police assisted two people who were locked out of their respective residences.
July 15 — A welfare check was done for a dog in the 100 block of Lawrence St. A resident complained about noise near Grant and Cleveland Sts.
Friday — Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of S. Freeborn St. but no action was taken. Police picked up two dogs running free in the 400 block of Walnut St.
Saturday — A person moved his or her trailer after being warned for illegal parking in the 300 block of S. Freeborn St. A parking complaint was made in the 200 block of Garfield St. A person was warned for trespassing after a disturbance was reported in the 700 block of N. Cedar St.
Sunday — A loose dog was picked up in the 500 block of N. Cedar St. and taken to Animal Health Center. Two people involved in a disturbance in the 700 block of N. Cedar St. were separated.

Thursday — A possible protection order violation in the 600 block of N. Walnut St. was reported and remains under investigation.
