The trip, with Acis Educational Tours, will start June 19, and include tournament play June 20 and 21, sightseeing June 22, tournament play June 23, sightseeing and tournament play June 24, and tournament play June 25 and 26 before departure back home June 27.

“I’m so excited for her,” Cheyenne’s mother, Tabitha Sawyer said.

The team was put together by a coach at Neosho Community College, and all team members are from Kansas, Tabitha said.

“It’s not just about basketball. They get to go to the beach and get some tours,” she said.

To raise money for the trip, Cheyenne made and sold Cocoa Bombs over winter break.

Tabitha has donated money from craft sales of tumblers and T-shirts to her daughter’s cause.

Cheyenne is a point guard and shooting guard for Goessel and will play various positions on the international team.

She is looking to raise $5,000 plus $5,000 for each of her parents. Checks made out to her can be mailed to Crossroads Credit Union, 217 E Main St, Goessel KS 67053.
